That appears to me to be Mechanical Doubling (MD). It is different than a doubled die as the doubling occurs during the strike and is not an image on the die itself. MD will usually have a flat, shelf like image and the devices will appear smaller, where as on a doubled die the devices are wider and rounded. Don't get discouraged :) in the beginning of my coin hobby (9 months ago) I thought everything was doubled. Now I do better with the education and guidance I have received from the members here - but I still get MD or Die Deterioration on some that I submit for opinions.
