Date position looks close but much better pictures are needed of the whole obverse and close up of the date. An important marker for the 1888/7 is a Cud at 9 o'clock on the obverse. It is found on almost all example of the variety. I forgot the exact number but I know that there are less than 50 known examples of this variety so the odds are against you.

Not an 1888/7. Date position is wrong, no Cud, and, most important, I don't see an overdate. Sorry.

Correction - the Cud DOES NOT have to be there. Snow confirms this in his writings. There are many TPG examples without the Cud, and in fact I sold one through Rick just this past year.
