It had been sitting in there for months with a price tag too rich for my blood. I liked it, but it was just too much $. They eventually removed it from view and tucked it in the back. I inquired about it, and was told they'd "make me a really good deal" on it.

I probably still overpaid... But it was a price I was more than comfortable with. All said and done, I'm into this for a little over $2 per coin.

I wished I had a dollar for everything I've paid too much for over the years.

The bottom line is whether YOU like it or not. Trying to find the Capitol holders and then trying to find matching coins would cost you way more than $2/coin when all was said and done when you factor in time, effort and expenses.

That is a very pretty set! Congrats!

That is a good looking set! Those holders are also nice (and usually quite expensive!)
Rest in Peace

I agree with both statements. Especially the second one. My father was fond of reminding me, "Son, if you feel you made a good deal, then it was a good deal."

I will admit that it almost feels like 'cheating' buying a pre-filled holder though. It takes away the thrill of the hunt to fill the holes. That's ok though. I've already noticed a few coins that can be upgraded...

There's always room for upgrading...

Thanks for the reply's.

That is a nice looking set and the presentation is fantastic.
WAY better than having the coins locked up in some Musty Album for Sure.
Most certainly NOT a waste of money in my Opinion, Well done Mate

Well done! Another nice find on your part. I am sure you paid no more than what it is worth to you.
