Best pics I can post, there appears to be remains of the date below the 3 & 4. Or it could be a simple die gauge. One marker that intrigued me was the curved gauge in the vest. Please let me know your thoughts.

There is a 1934 doubled die obverse that has part of the date below the three and four, but I am not seeing it on this one. I even did an overlay to make sure I was looking in the exact area, and I still couldn't see it.

Maybe if you get some photos with the light source coming from a different direction it will show up if it's there.

Looks like coin damage. Looks like something snowplowed it going SE on that area. (note the 4th image)

I don't see anything except 82 years worth of aging in this one. Like cwb said, maybe some better lighting could "shed light" (muhahaha) on whether or not there's some doubling. I'd keep it for now though, just to be sure.
