Hi guys ,about a month ago I told you that I came into a hoard of Buffalo nickels that were mostly dateless . well here are my findings so far after acid treatment : Multiples of all the Phillies from 1913 to 1934 . 14-D ,15-D ,16-D ,16-S ,20-S ,23-S ,24-D ,And 29-D . But I'm saving this one for last ; the lowest mintage Buff in the series : Drum Roll Please , 1926-S I'm not finished yet . Still more dates to bring up . This is my best pick up to date . For those who don't remember ; I made the guy an offer of $30 for the whole box . When I got home from my vacation ,I emptied the box on my kitchen table and counted 467 Buffalos .

Still hoping for the 18/7. The 1916 DDO would be ok too.

I would like to see the 26-s, and 14-D. What does the substance do to the rest of the coin besides revealing date?

Sorry unable to take photos . Unfortunately when you acid treat the whole coin, ethching can take place very easily. also realize that if the date is worn completely off so will different parts of the coin be worn . some of these Nickels have been around the corner like 14 times ,so they might have scratches ,nicks ,and discoloration . they are basically hole fillers .

So they don't really have much value? It is interesting to see dates on these coins and bring them back from the dead. Zombie coins!

Restored keys, and semi keys have some value, and you can make a few bucks. Just depends how much time you want to spend on it, more of a labor of love. Although a member of this site did restore an 18/7, and ANACS slabbed it.

That's good to know Ed . I still have a bunch more to treat . You previously mentioned the 1916 DDO . Are you kidding I can barely make out the date ,and you want me to look to see if it's doubled ?

Actually, that one is so severely doubled, you'd probably be able to see it.
