So I was wondering if someone with fresh eyes and more knowledge then me tell me #1 am I seeing what I think I am. And #2 the ballpark value of this coin. Clues I see *neck line coin from left wing *hair under trust *multiple other clash marks around the whole reverse. Also I think I spot a die crack on the obverse from Liberty's head to the you in Pluribus. Any help would be great. I've searched google ect till my eyes now feel like sand paper and I can't lock down a similar coin to gauge the price. *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

Those do appear to be die cracks over the profile on the obverse and over the left wing on the reverse, but that's all I can tell from these two photos. So I do see what you're seeing. From this distance and lighting, it's hard to tell whether the rest of those marks on the reverse are die cracks as well or just PMD. (Maybe you could take more photos under a magnifier for better judgement?) As for the value, I'm no expert so we'll just have to wait for someone with more experience than me to come along. Very nice find.

Yea the marks around the coin are from the die clash. Only die crack I see is near the top of her head. Anyone that can't put a ballpark price on the obvious clash?

Unfortunately, it looks like a Chinese counterfeit. What is the weight and thickness?

It weights 26.69g and as far as I can see the marks on my coin match perfectly to the overlay. Would any e hazard a guess on its value?

The clash probably would not add any value on your coin. Depending on grade, you could check ebay.

The Chinese must have done a die swap because there are no OBV clash marks to correspond with the ones shown on the REV. Nice counterfeit Clashed E variety lol. I'd LOVE to see the hair vee on that OBV before it was taken out ;)

I think I may have actually seen this exact coin online once. If not, the pops just went up 1!

Definitely a cast type counterfeit. See if it stick to a magnet.

Reverse looks identical to that of the counterfeit 1893-S dollar I bought from the teller at Wells Fargo a few months back. That coin was magnetic and only weighed about 20 grams. I paid $1 for it. Since your piece has the correct weight it might actually be made of silver but unfortunately is almost certainly a fake.

Mintmark looks all wrong and there are raised blemishes in the field around AM. 99.9% convinced it's a fake.
