We have two coins from my Grandfather's house that we cannot figure out. This one really has me stumped.

Try larger better focused pictures. Medieval French coins have fish looking like yours on them.

@albert, I'm thinking it is a dolphin as opposed to a fish. You are right that better pics would make the determination easier.

@sherry, my best guess is a jeton of the French Province of Dauphin. Here is an example that you can compare against yours:

Yes, I know Dauphin and that is what I was steering the OP towards- I guess I didn't say it very well, but "fish" is listed in Roberts.
I recently had some similar items come across my desk and found them in Roberts.
