Anyone knowledgeable about these? I picked one up at a yard sale a couple weeks ago for $3. It has a 1971 Kennedy, 1965 Washington, 1963D Jefferson nickel ,1969 Lincoln Penny and a 1967 Roosevelt.

I don't know which company made mine or what year. I'll try to get some pictures of it but I can't get any cose ups the Lucite seems to defeat any attempt at a photographic closeup.

Lucite: otherwise known as 'Perspex'.
Was used for Mustang bubble canopies.

I have seen many for sale on ebay over the years but the shipping costs make them cost prohibitive hence a no sale.

What are the odds of finding one that might contain a couple mint errors?

If anyone is thinking of breaking coins out of the Lucite, it can be done, but the material is very tough and you will get sharp shards of Lucite everywhere.

I am not sure that the clear plastic is Lucite (Perspex).

I think it might be clear acryllic plastic, the same stuff theay they make clear plastic faucet bathroom tap handles with.
