361683303576Seller I bought from messed up. I bought two lots, he combined shipping, was supposed to get 25 coins and ended up getting 21. There were 4 1928 D's missing from the lot, and the 1916 D and 1917 P were COMPLETELY different then the ones I received. ( 361683303581) The 1916 D there that I bid on was a fairly decent looking XF that was all original. The one I received? A cleaned VF-25 piece, and a corroded uncleaned reverse. The 1917 pictured was a G details dirty coin, and the one I received was a dark decent looking VF-30, so can't complain too much on that. Same goes with the 1919 D, the one pictured is different then the one I received. However, still managed to receive MOST of the other coins. A few of the garbage junk dates were replaced with UNC's, etc. Very weird. I contacted the seller about it, and he ended up being very nice about it...even though I feel like this was done purposely.. Anyways, we came to an agreement. I'd leave positive feedback on both and not file a claim with ebay if he refunded my $6.54 that I paid for the 1926 S & 1928 D lot, and that I'd ignore the $1.25 lot. He agreed surprisingly, and I ended up getting my $6.54 back, and gave him positive feedback.. Sometimes, ebay can be a great way to get free coins...but I really don't LIKE getting them free because then I kind of feel bad for the seller, but stuff happens. And surprisingly, this isn't the first time this has happened with me.

Also, according to the seller, he said that the 1926 S + 5 1928 D lot was a "mistake listing" and "shouldn't have been posted and/or was posted by mistake."
That's complete BS... It was up for 7 days, he had plenty of time to find out it was up and take it down. Not only that, but he said that all the contents of that lot were already "sold" previously - yet I still managed to receive two of the 6 coins from the lot..........

Interesting mess.
Sounds like the seller worked with you to make it right.
Also sounds like the seller does does not have a good process to keep the listings straight.

Can't complain, haha. I'll probably end up swapping the 1926 S and the 1928 D with the ones in my book and flip it.

All I know is that when people list a ton, like this guy, the likelihood of an error goes up. It even happened to me recently despite the fact I only do around 50 listings or so a month. I listed a War Nickel as a 1944-S instead of a 1944-D.
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

I've made mistakes in my ebay listings (not coins). I often have over 100 items up at a time and periodically I'll forget I have something listed and list it twice. My items aren't as unique as a specific coin so I can usually work things out if I double sell something. I've also made errors such as giving free shipping on an item that shouldn't have been free shipping. He seemed to handle it in a reasonable way and honestly, $6.50 is nothing to a regular seller. Just the cost of doing business. However, if he seems to be this sloppy on a regular basis then I wouldn't buy from him again.
