I'd like opinions on these two 1885 coins.

The first one appears to have prominent doubling of the entire motto and minor doubling of the feathers. The second one possibly has minor doubling of only some letters of the motto. The reverses of these coins are not shown but nothing significant.

Are any of these so-called Snow varieties or do they have any value above the average 1885 cent?

One of these just came in a mixed roll of 50 IHC ccoins I got in yesterday.

Thanks for input.

Snow's PR 2 and PR 4 have no description for the 1885.

Longacre doubling - very common on Indian Head cents.

"Longacre doubling" will be visible on several sides of the devices. A true DDO / DDR will have a distinctly directional offset and spit serifs on lettering.
Here's a verified example--the 1887 S-1 DDO:

I posted a brief note on the differences a while back.

Re PR2 and PR4...these are varieties on proof coins.
Both are very minor die defects that are used to differentiate proof dies. As for the 1885 Snow #s, S-1 is a MPD near the ribbon, and S-2 is 85/85 (n) RPD--two pretty minor varieties.

Thanks for the info. I'm still curious why the Longacre doubling isn't at least a slight premium since they are not as common as those lacking the doubling.

Well, I suspect it's because "Longacre doubling" isn't really double hubbing or a die variety at all. They are actually quite common, while often faint. These features are a normal part of the tools used to punch the master die, and show to varying degrees on the coin through 1886. From 1886 onward, Charles Barber reworked the IHC design and removed these extraneous features.
