Mostly interested in these Lithuanian coins: half-groats of Alexander Jagiellon (1495-1506) and Sigismund the Old (1509-1529), schillings of Sigismund Vasa (1614-1627), groats of Sigismund Vasa (1625-1627), schillings of Ioan Casimir (1652-1653). Can help to any with knowledge about it!

well, I'm in theme about 20 years, so I can recognize the fake medieval Lithuanian coin immediately. And I have few friends, who collect fake coins, so they are always happy to get some new with my congrats :)

giedrius!When I saw the dates you listed for coins of interest, I realized I know very little about Lithuania. So, I read about the country on Wikipedia. Here are four things about Lithuania I did not know (among others!): Quote:
1) First mention of Lithuania [in a written document]: 9 March 1009
2) By the end of the 14th century, Lithuania was one of the largest countries in Europe and included present-day Belarus, Ukraine, and parts of Poland and Russia.
3) [After annexing Lithuania in 1944-45] The Soviets engaged in massive deportations of Lithuanians to Siberia, complete nationalisation and collectivisation and general sovietization of everyday life. From 1944 to 1952 approximately 100,000 Lithuanian partisans fought a guerrilla war against the Soviet system. An estimated 30,000 partisans and their supporters were killed, and many more were arrested and deported to Siberian gulags.
4) Lithuanian is a Baltic language, related to Latvian. It is written in a Latin alphabet. Lithuanian is often said to be the most conservative living Indo-European language, retaining many features of Proto-Indo-European now lost in other Indo-European languages.
