To me .... Albums are the way to go.
I think it is a good way to organize and present your collection.
As for album slide damage, you just have to careful. Make sure the coins are correctly seated before pushing the slide into place.
Same for binders, I have seen a lot coins with staple scratches, from taking coins in and out of 2X2's.
Many collectors are not happy with what coins are included and what coins are not included in albums. Many people have found ways to get around this. Some add extra blank pages, to add the coins they want. And some will block holes of the coins they do not want to collect.

I liked and used Whitman blue albums about a year after I first started collecting . Of cause that was a very long time ago . But within the last 4 years I've been using 3-ring binders for most of my coins . As far as presentation goes ,I think the binder is a lot easier to view than the album . Easier to take the 2x2 out of a binder page than to remove coin from an album .

If I use albums I don't know which one to chose I've narrowed it down to dansco or littleton, dansco has a classier look but littleton has probably more protection I cAN'T DECIDE WHAT TO USE AND I DON'T WANT TO USE BOTH BRANDS ONLY ONE!! sorry for caps.

Consider the Coin World Coin Holders, your own personal 'slabs', which you can then store in boxes or albums, your choice. You will have no empty spaces, coins can be in any order you choose, and are uniform in presentation. Nor will you ever make a mark on the coin with an album slider.

For what it is worth, I have used Dansco albums for over thirty years. They also have one that has 12-pocket vinyl pages for cardboard 2x2 holders. I use those for things that do not fit into normal album spaces.

By the way, this post was moved to the 'Supplies, Books, Reference, Software' sub-forum for a broader appeal.

I have never used the Littleton albums and have only seen them in person a few times. They look pretty nice. The main thing that bothers me is the three ring design. It seems to make the pages difficult to turn.

I am biased and will always think Dansco are the best. Although I have never used them, I do like the Whitman albums. I could have picked them, but the choice of Dansco was more-or-less made for me. My grandfather bought my first two albums for me. His dealer friend recommended them and I was not going to say no.

The only thing that keeps me from danscos is the fact that they dont make pages for current sets anymore :/

Yes, they changed the Jefferson album to end in 2005 after the Westward Journey was complete, to start a new series in 2006. It should not be a problem when buying new albums, as we know what to expect.
