Hi cracker122,

to CCF!

from one Aussie to another.
The 2005 $1 has had what the US collectors call a
Rim Fin, caused by the pressure of the strike forcing some metal up between the Obv die and the Collar. When minted, this fin would have been sort of 'standing up' but over time part has folded over. Aussies aren't particularly keen on these, I do have some, but don't consider them to be worth any more than face value. The marks inside the rim of the Rev indicate that the coins has been scraped by a coin rolling machine.
Re the 2014 $2, again this marking on the rim (to me) indicates something went slightly amiss during the strike, but I've seen plenty of them and don't really ascribe any extra value to them. Maybe hang onto it as a conversation piece. It does appear this coin may have been
very slightly off centre when struck, but this doesn't increase it's value.
Keep looking, I'm sure you'll find something exciting soon.
