I posted this a few Days ago on another website, and not to bash it --- but not only did I get hardly any comments, opinions, or assistance...it's as if it wasn't taken serious. Anyway, I digress.

I purchased this with a mini collection I bought the other day and noticed right away it seemed unique...because there is doubling. Being that it is a 1969 S, and the real and well known "holy grail" is the DDO, I thought "wow is this unique?"

If anyone can offer their opinions on what they think. Is this coin special? Has anyone else ever found a 1969 S with any kind of doubling on the rear? What is it worth? I appreciate any and all feedback and I am always much more comfortable posting here :) Thanks everyone!

Where exactly are you seeing the doubling? The 1969S DDRs I have seen listed are all Proofs... is this a proof?

The mini collection was all proofs from different coins and years. I can't be 100% although the fields are shiny. I don't ha e the coin in front of me as I am at work so I will post more pictures later. --- I see doubling in CENT.

to CCF. Need better and close up pics. I see something on the inside part of the C in CENT. Your coin does not match the one on CC's site. Check the links lawest posted and see if you can make a match.

We need coop here. It looks like a doubled die to me, but it may be lighting.

I'm not see anything special about this coin. It is not a proof coin. It is a business strike coin normal coin.

I will upload better pictures this evening. Some see doubling and some don't. I think it is pretty clear that there is some sort of doubling on CENT. Either way I think sit is cool either way. It fascinates me how something some people throw on the ground is so valuable to people like us
