Poll Question
Assuming the Ronald Reagan Coin and Chronicles set will be similar to the 2015 issues in that there will be at the very least a reverse proof Reagan $1 coin and a silver medal, what do you think will make up for the additional $11 that the U.S. Mint will be charging for this set vs. last year's? After careful consideration, I decided to not make "A Chunk of the Berlin Wall" an option. Please limit discussion here in this poll to possible additions to the set and keep general set discussion in the main Reagan Coin & Chronicles thread. Results

My vote is for other. The reason for the price increase is for nothing other than the desire to make more money. I don't really care, I will buy my one set and be done with this series. I will be glad that the mint will be offering fewer coins (hahahah, yeah right!) in the coming years. I for one would be glad to see the return to a 12 coin uncirculated set and a 6 coin proof set. I would also like to see the redesign of all the coins. How about a return to some images of Liberty.

Other....agree with the above "because they can"

I also agree with what others say. The mint saw the 2ndary market success of these sets initially and decided to keep a little bit of that extra amount for themselves. Hopefully a lower mintage can make up for it but most likely will be 40-50k of then I think

I really want the bronze medal, but I will be quasi-optimistic and say "Fancier / Larger / More OGP (product packaging)."Of course, after seeing the other product price increases, I think that the $11 is just that, a price increase.

Well, after a few hours for this to settle in and reading more articles I wish I could go back and change the options of the poll. (But I know why that's not a good idea.) If I were to create a new poll, I'd make the following mods: Though "Other" is a pretty good catch-all the following would be valid options: o No change, just a price hike for the same/similar product o 30th Anniversary ASE (oh MAN, PLEASE have a special finish!) And the following could be combined into one option: o Fancier Packaging o Non-numismatic Extras o Essays Hindsight!

With nearly perfect hindsight (I'm farsighted) I only have one thing to say since I picked other.
I'm an old coin collecting cynic that has been burned too many times by the US mint. I guess I need to get over it.

I saw an announcement yesterday that the C&C set would include the 30th ASE
