Thanks all ... I think I have just a humble collection,
compared to some of the high end coins some have.

This thread has got me thinking, I lost a lot of pictures.
I think it was when I lost a laptop a while back.

I know I had more pictures of proof sets and proof coins.

But it has made me look at some of my albums. I see that on
my third P/D/S/S set of State Quarters, I am still missing
a set of 2007 silver proof quarters. Good chance I have
a set of those packed away.

I did find a couple dansco that have proofs

Like this one,
Lincoln proof 1953 through 2009

I really like how well you have captured the quality
of proof coins.

I wish my pictures turned out that good.

These were all scanned at 7200 DPI on an HP-4890, saved as BMPs, shrunk to 360 pixels square, grouped together and saved as JPGs at just under the 300KB limit. I have mostly switched to taking photos now, both because I now have a good macro setup and because 7200 DPI scans of the 5oz ATBs saved as BMPs would each be about 1.4GB and that is a lot of data to send over a USB2 link. Scans are good but you pretty much get what you get. There is a lot more freedom with photos, especially in lighting and bringing up very small details. at 7200 DPI each pixel is about 3.5um and I can get down to less than 1um per pixel with my camera setup.
