Looks like EF-40 to me. Very nice!

I'd go VF-30 with a possible old cleaning. Too much wear on the high points for XF.

XF and it doesn't really look like it has been cleaned to me.

with these old coppers you will usually get two different grades, one from the EACers and another grade going by the grading companies standards (the EAC grade is always the lowest) so I will be in agreement with all grades mentioned above VF if you are asking a EACer and probably a XF if you sent it in for grading. Cleaning on these old coppers I have a hard time telling so I will leave that up to you to judge on whether the color looks correct in hand or not

Thanks, everyone. Color in hand is very similar to the photos; I corrected for white balance, contrast and saturation to be sure to stay true to the coin's actual appearance. I don't think it's been cleaned; there is no tell-tale pinkish cast to the coin, and no scratch marks. (Obviously plenty of dings...but no scratches.)
