if this gets moved tell me where.
looking to build a 1951 (3sets)U.S. set in P , D , and S. as close to au as I can find.
problem is the half is priced $12
a quarter close to AU is $15
a dime is $12 to $15
a nickel is $12 and up
a penny be $10 an up
but the bigger coin the more silver.

I'm lost I'm lost I'm lost

Not to be flip, but what is the problem? Sounds doable. The more expensive coins have more numismatic value, and not tied to the silver.

The market is the market...not much you can do about that. Not sure what to tell you except start saving up, I guess. Maybe you can get a better deal than what's on ebay by going to a show or negotiating with a LCS.

Not sure where you looked for the nickels, but you can get all 3 mints,
for a few bucks.

Check ebay for AU/BU sets. You might want to put this set and some like it in your watch list:

Good luck

SRS - hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there are coins there that aren't UNC. I know you pointed out the nickels, but that 1951 P Quarter is a AU, has hairline wear, and the 1951 S appears to have been cleaned and is an AU slider coin.

Unless the 1951 S has ugly dull luster which could also be possible.

The '51 Rosie seems to have obverse field issues as well.

the above photos are along the lines of the coins I'm looking for.
one thing that just hit me is this, pick up the best coins I can find then down the road upgrade.

Seems doable. I was wondering, though, why 1951, and why three of them?

OK, that makes sense. When you said three sets, it sounded like you meant three of each mint. By the way, that's not too old- you've still got a while left.
