I think this one grade at a lower AU than the first 1943 Walker I posted. How would you grade this one?

From the comments and information on other Walkers graded here I think I will lower my opinion of this grade to VF. How am I doing?

Hi Thingee,

For the early-date Walkers strike was often pretty weak. By 1943 however most dates came pretty well-struck. For those later dates you need a fully-outlined breastplate on Liberty to merit a VF grade and your coin doesn't have that. Therefore I think it would max out as F-15. The reverse is probably closer to VF but the obverse usually carries the grade.

I agree with Jaobler, this is a F coin. There is just a little detail showing on the sandal ties on the back foot- a dead giveaway for a F coin. One thing, I might go F-15, but that reverse rim ding will keep it F-12 at best. Eagle very worn but shows detail in the open wing, and on edges of back wing- and that rim ding. I sure love these coins.......F-12
