i picked up this coin at the Toronto coin expo, I really like this one and it will be getting cross graded by ICCS eventually. I got it in a trade with a dealer, I ended up with only about $30 into it. Feel free to call me Will.

@doubleeagle59 I think it will pull a 66 heavy cameo which i'd still be more than happy with. if it did get a 67 which seems possible when I look at this coin in hand than i'd be really happy.

A 67 in an ICCS holder is worth stupid money. We sold one in 2014 for $1600. Good Luck on getting it crossed. A 66 is around 300 in an ICCS holder.

Yes, at least with ICCS you will get a HC designation

Thanks for the best wishes Pacific. tripoli yeah I agree. I plan on getting it cross graded where they give you their cert but keep the coin in the slab. I much prefer slabs to ICCS holders as I'm sure most of you do.

As PCGS, NGC, and ICCS are all respected grading companies, why would a certain grade by a particular grading company draw command over another? Are Canadian coins that are graded by a Canadian company more valuable than being graded by a US company? A little confused here.

the companies use different standards, ICCS is more trusted in Canada than PCGS so coins certified by them command better prices.

Just curious, have you ever seen a US coin graded by ICCS?

That is interesting @thedollarman... I wonder if US coins graded by ICCS would carry a premium? And will ICCS ever use slabs instead of flips?

No and No. Once for a joke , I submitted five 1884O dollars to ICCS . All came back as 64 . All 5 currently reside in NGC 65 holders one a star because of toning. Different company different policies.

Judging by the cert # that is in a pretty old PCGS slab.

There are a few U.S. and British coins graded by ICCS which pop up on ebay from time to time.
