this is another buy from the expo, this coin caught me by surprise at first look and once I saw the reverse just wow i had to modify the photos to show the true colour more accurately, it is much deeper and just amazing in hand . i think that it's undergraded and will be resubmitting it to ICCS with about 30 other coins. take a stab at the grade if you like(i know, the pictures arent too good for grading). After watching several videos on artificial toning that produce almost identical results to this, I have grown suspect of these patterns of colors.
This coin is beautiful, don't get me wrong, but how do you know for sure that this isn't AT'd?

iv'e handled a good few pieces which came in bank made sets and the like back in 1967 and iv'e taken similar coins out of them, none have compared to the beauty of this one though. also, sandy Campbell looked at this coin and liked it and said it was good.

It's certainly 'industry acceptable', if it's trading hands.

Nice one! Likely from red case PL set.

@DBM thanks, it isn't though, it's a fully lustrous mint state coin.

That's an extra bonus then, all the purple or nice bluish ones I own came from the red case sets. I bought five '67 toners last week, none as pretty as that one

good guess though. I personally think this came from one of the unc sets that BMO gave out.

also, this coin only got a MS-64..it is wayyy nicer and cleaner than most 65s I see. I think it could hit a 65 easily when I resubmit it. and all this is coming from someone who's never seen a 1967 dollar in an MS-65 holder that I agreed with or found nice for the grade.
