Hi Guys,

Considering this coin for purchase. I call about AU, some luster, few bag marks. Other then that, problem free. What do you think?

Thanks!

The strike looks solid but there is no vein detail in the back leaves = AU53 wear, but the surfaces look unnatural -- the luster is literally everywhere, and it should not be at this wear level -- and the coin as a whole has low eye appeal due to the numerous dings, abrasions, marks, and hairline scratches. My opinion would be AU53 details, cleaned/dipped.

It's actually easier to get an exact grade from the reverse, but as everyone has already said - this poor girl has taken way to many dips in the deep end of the dip pool.

Thank you to all that responded. I really do appreciate this. You saved me $222 dollars! Being a new collector, this site is so important! I guess with this coin the unnatural luster is a sign of being dipped. Thanks again!

$222? Even if it were problem-free, in mid AU it's only worth about $120-$150.
