Mostly ebay.
I have a few times found coins worth buying at garage sales. Noting major, a few large cents, things like that.

Most of my high value purchases have come from successful single written bids, via public auction.

All of the rest (less than $100 per item), have come from dealers' junk boxes, using my long experience to cherrypick.
Paid cash only face to face, for ALL of my purchases.

No ebay.

Emerald coast coins in Pensacola and Milton Florida.
Best coin shops on the Gulf coast.

And then ebay.

Thanks, guys. It sounds like ebay is popular. Anybody have favorite dealers on there?

twslisa...i would post coins on the forum for review prior to bidding. it is very easy to alter a coins look with lighting and other tricks. if you have something you are interested in just post it. better safe than sorry. things are not always what they seem to be
