Received this as a gift from a friend in the UK. This is not my area, did some searching but couldn't come up with any information. Sorry for the poor images, it is struck very lightly. AE 26mm x 1.8g Obverse: Cross with fleur de lis ends, Crowns between arms of the cross with fleur de lis beneath the crowns. Gothic type legend, not able to read. Reverse: Cross topped globe within shield, Gothic legend. Little better pictures.

Thanks, I already went through the site and didn't find it. Thank for checking.

The second image looks vaguely like something I have seen before-a Nuremburg jeton.

I believe that it is a Hans Krauwinckel Nuremberg jeton.

Not that one the obverse is different on mine. This one has really got me stumped, I've been searching most of the day and still haven't come up with anything. With all the Fleur de Lis I'm thinking it might be French.

@ron, this is an interesting item. All of the Nuremberg jetons that I have seen have three alternating crowns and fleur de lis (not four as yours does).

I wish I could enhance the images more.

Quote: Not that one the obverse is different on mine. I agree, as is the lettering. I am striking out trying to match it. Sorry, Ron. But, as you suggest, your obverse seems to be a cross fleury/fleuree with crowns between the angles...same general idea as these: (Very similar looking one below) (Below are described as "four lilies crowned" between the angles of the cross)

Bob, your right the crowns are more of a match to the second one, but the reverse is different.

I also posted this on a site that deals with Jetons and got this reply. It is a scarce early Nuremberg Jeton from the late 15th century.
