Hi, these two medals that I have appear to be made not long time ago, judging for the new broochs. In turn, the surface and design of both medals are suspect. Are they fakes? are there editions post wwii?
Any help is welcome.

YES! Finally a good question for me!! I am a Numismatist and Militaria collector!

These are both WW2 medals, the one on the left is the WW2 victory medal (earned by serving anytime between December 7th 1941 and December 31st 1946). The one on the right is the Asiatic/Pacific campaign medal, and it looks like the ribbon had two star devices attached to it at one point (or even an arrow device or EGA device, impossible to tell at this point). They are both legit, fair value of both together would be around $25 USD.

Thanks ChildOfTheWheat, that is good news to me, I had doubts because the broches do not have any marking. They Might have been replaced?

I have lots of coins but only few Militaria items that I will share with you in this forum.

American Campaign Medal (My mom's)

The reverse of the Asiatic Pacific Campaign medal was also used for the American Campaign medal.
Both reverses were designed by Adolph Alexander Weinman, who designed the Walking Liberty half dollar and the Mercury dime
