I haven't been active on the forum the past few weeks as I had to have some surgery on my foot. It hurt to let it down, like sitting at a table or desk, so I haven't been doing much of that. I have been keeping up on what's going on, just haven't posted. I had a new arthrosurface implant put in the joint of my big toe, had the other one done earlier this year. Now that that's all behind me, and I'm starting to get around better, I should be able to do more. The surgeon said that I could even run, but only if a bear is chasing me. It was a painful experience, but I'm hopeful that it will pay off. My joints had deteriorated so much that I could hardly wear boots, let alone do any heavy lifting, which really hurt working my job right.
So now I have permanent Steel toes!
I did wonder if it would interfere with my metal detecting hobby, but I've been out and tried it, everything works just fine!

Good to hear you are feeling better. Don't exert yourself too much. Let everything come back to you slowly. Don't risk getting hurt again. Hope you make a full recovery.

Feel better Claude! And just compare it to colonoscopy prep, and before you all ask, at the age of 13 I had to have a colonoscopy.

Best for you during your recovery.

If I had to choose between steel toes and detecting I think I'd have shorter feet.
