I have an 1844 Seated Liberty half and wanted find out the variety.

One of the listed variety options on CoinFacts.com is:

SERIES: Liberty Seated half dollars 1839-1891
LEVEL: Minor Variety or Die Variety
1844 50C WB-101 (Regular Strike)

Since no accompanying photo exists on PCGS and NGC does not even list this specific variety for this 1844 SLH, I cannot rule out a WB.

The other problem is that I don't know what a WB is.

At this point I just want an example of a Seated Liberty with a WB with an applicable definition.

Please clarify.

The WB refers to the book on Seated halves by Wiley and Buggart. The 101 indicates the first varity for the year and the (regular strike) reference means that there is no identifiable variety.
