This came into a LCS yesterday. I was not there, but they sent
me a couple pictures, asking me my opinion.

They did not buy it, but customer might come back.

Did not stick to a magnet. Weighs 26 grams.

I know most of the ones we see are fake, this one they weren't sure.

They did not take a reverse pic ...but curious if anyone sees something.

I say fake. The rims and the edge look very wrong. Here are some edge shots of fakes I own:

How thick (rim width) is it? It looks too thick with odd lettering but images can be tricky.

I have a 1799 dollar, and I looked at a LOT of them before I purchased one, in a PCGS holder for safety. I saw a number of fakes that looked like what you are showing with the very weak details and lack of sharp outlines on any of the elements of the design. Too, the denticles do not look right as they do not appear consistent at all.

The stars are also missing any sharp definition above the fields. If I had to bet, it would not be by putting my money into this coin.

Than you for your replies.

I did not get to see the coin in hand, and could not
say anything on the thickness.

From the pictures the edge details bothered me.

The LCS did not buy it, but there was talk of bring it
back on their next trip.

So far everyone that has seen it is leaning to it being fake.
