Hi, this 1972 D penny seems to have a light strike or maybe it is just a worn out die? Any help would be great, thanks!

If the coin is normal weight, the die may have had the fields reduced so much, that the deeper devices were all that was left showing on the die on the motto and LIBERTY areas?
