I have not photographed BU coins until recently. I am trying everything I can think of and that has been suggested to reduce glare. Maybe a little progress, but not much!

I think this is better than the last one. It's a different coin? I don't know about attrubution but the notching on the mm is clear.

What did you do differently? Is this constant light or a flash? Generally, the bigger - more spread out - you make the light source, the softer the light will be. If that doesn't make sense, Google "soft box". You probably know this but I thought I'd throw it in.

Thanks Biedercoins - I am going to do more work on "spread out"!

It is a different coin.

with a bit of editing software, you can sharpen the contrast on your images:

You can even go a bit more if you like, I just wanted to show what can be edited.

I don't think you answered a previous question about light location? Where is it. If it is not attached to the camera/scope, then it could be raised a bit more to help prevent glare on the edges of the devices. You will enjoy the images more with the light a bit higher. On my scope it is at 12:00 on the coin about 2.5 inches above the coin and 1 inch above the coin.

Thanks coop - I had already edited the image for sharpness, brightness, and contrast - guess I did not take it far enough! I'll work on that!

Great that you have that option. You just have to find the balance on this to get it just right. Not too much, not too little. You might try to make one image, make a duplicate, then edit it again and see which one you like the best.
