This was the Morgan dollar I mentioned on the forum which I purchased the other day. Here's the reveal. Looks like it's got a few minor problems. Paid 25

Nice slider (AU-58). Nothing wrong with that buy. It's a pretty girl. Hopefully we are still allowed to say that...

AU-58.

For anyone that sees the hairlines in pictures 4 and 5, those are not the result of cleaning. Those are the result of friction due to circulation, hence my AU grade.

No obvious signs of wear - I'll say MS-62 for this one nice coin.

Reading all the AU opinions ... had me wondering what I was missing.

With market grading. ... hard to know when a TPG will give a slider
AU 58 grade.

What I am seeing is a MS 62/63 coin

GR58 - wreath leaves, wing tips, breast feathers, field textures..just on the reverse..all show signs of friction rub / circulation. On the obverse, wear is clearly visible on the hair, forehead, cheek, and top of her cap.

Fields look remarkably clean and seem free of any luster breaks - any marks on the high points seem to be from bag contacts. Just not seeing circulation wear here.
