Interesting mint mark. It is unique how the die aged with RPM.

When scanning down the different die stages on the CONECA listing, you can see how the RPM changed it's shape a bit with die wear. Take a bit of time to examine this thread to note change of shape of the RPM. Started out different entirely. I had to look this up to satisfy my questioning mind. I new the location was correct, but that shape was different than any other example I've found in the past. So again take a look at the link.

It caught my eye too. I had to look and look again at different examples to be sure of what it was. The location matched well, but the mint mark appeared different than most of the other known examples I could find.

Here is a side by side progress of wear on this die. These are from Variety Vista and they list the 'stages' (events that happen) to a die. Yes the die is wearing, but until I saw them in progression, I have a new appreciation for considering die wear and how it affects even RPMs. Take a look at this image. It helps us to why we question this die number and the shape of the RPM. I knew the location was correct, but the shape was throwing me off:

Until I saw this on V.V. it was not a strong though in my mind.

That's great coop. I took if further and put those images in a gif progression. These are images from variety vista. Amazing this is the same Rpm.
