I picked up these three Kennedy half dollars. I am working on a graded type set and wondering which of these are worth grading. First Kennedy half dollars I have owned and wondering how they would grade. Hoping for a star from NGC on at least one. I wish I could photograph the toning better. The reverses have nice pinks and oranges. How would you grade? Thanks.

Not good at grading so I won't. I do like the eye appeal of the last coin though.

All look MS-63 or 64. It would be cheaper to pick up a coin already slabbed in the grade you are looking for.

64, 63, 63. I wouldn't pay for any of these to get TPG'ed.

As IGE said - it's better just to buy a 65 (or 66 if you LOVE them) and be done with it.

From the photos I wouldn't bet on star's either. Stars are USUALLY only given when the tone is complete, and all of these have many breaks in the toning.

I like the tone, but I would not send in for grading. I agree, if you want to build a graded set, best to get them already graded. Let someone else deal with the hassle of getting them encapsulated.

I think it's a 63 with attractive toning; if your into that sort of thing which most of us are to some degree.
Plenty of coin collector are obsessed with toning, I think it has it's place especially older variety's (think seated high grade) but overall a nice addition to coin collecting mystique. Interesting to see such a young coin toning like this but I suppose at over 50 years it's coming along in age. (aren't we all)
