Another gamble with this date for my collection. Full 30 day return from a good reputation member 3 hrs from me in Long Island.
Looks like decent luster, extremely good strike, relatively clean fields. Thoughts?

I would like to see this coin in hand.

Not sure if the picture is doing the luster any favors.
Not sure if it is a little dull or bad picture.

There are a couple spots, like in front of nose and forehead.
Might be able to remove them.

I would think a easy MS 64 ...

I have to assume it's AU unless they gave it away. A 10 day auction starting at $55 says they know what it's worth. Or maybe not, you never know and it's $1,000+ in 64. My guess is AU58.

Luster is flat, with many marks. It may be MS but I would think MS-60 at best. If you paid AU money you did okay.

i think its MS. there is no sight of any wear on the reverse high points. eagle neck, wing tips and breast all look good. the 80 "O" is known for a better than average strike for New Orleans and this is the case here. the coin does appear to have been dipped. I have it at MS63 details

I'll post better pics when I get it. If it is dipped badly I'm returning it. It seems half think it's mint state the others au58
