The 2015-16 Annual Report is now available on the RAM Site. http://www.ramint.gov.au/annual-reportsDon't know how long before they take it down to amend the composition of all the 5c, 10c, 20c and 50c coins as they have them all as Nickle plated Steel, going back to 2014. Duh! life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved

Thanks for the link -- and reminding me that the report is out.
I was surprised to see the relative low mintage numbers for all denominations of the Change-over/50th Anniversary coins

The mintage for the $1 changeover coin is interesting. Only 390,000 is a pretty low mintage for a circulating dollar coin

Quote: The mintage for the $1 changeover coin is interesting. Maybe there's still more to come. From the way the availability of them has been fluctuating on the RAM site, I'd say there's definitely going to be more in the 2016-17 Report. Hope I don't have to eat my words.

i hope the change over circulating coins stay in the small numbers ... we are falling over them up in Darwin ... I suspect there are bigger mintage numbers to come went to bank this morning and asked for 20 dollars of 5 cents ... (to noodle)... she gave me 10 rolls of 2016 change overs ... had to go to the next bank to get another 20 dollars worth of 5 cents to noodle

Why is the mintage different from each annual report?
For example the 2014 annual report states that there was 8.4m standard 20c made, the 2015 report states 43.9m and 2016 report says 3.59m. Or am I just reading these wrong
Thanks

The RAM annual report's figures are always up to only June 30th of any year. For " intriguing " reading, have a look at the mintage figures for eg. the 1992 $1 Mob of Roos .... ? Some of the other denominations' mintage figures and information from earlier years on their webpage for, eg. 50c, are complete fiction. Well worth going through all the denominations listed.

Old dies still get used so 2014 20c pieces were made in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Or am I just reading these wrong I haven't checked your figures quoted, but if they are correct, then all up there have been 55.89m standard 2014 20c minted spread over 3 years. It's a good idea not to rely on the figures in any single years' Mint Report, best to wait until you can get the cumulative totals for 2 - 3 reports. Many people make this mistake.
