So I was roll hunting as I do everyday and yesterday I struck gold (literally) I we to a few banks in a small town. All together I got 48 rolls. A few rolls in a had already had a few 90% and some 40% Then it happened, I opened one end and dumped the coins in my hand and half the coins were beautiful silver but one was gold. I looked at it and saw a coin I didn't know about. 1964-2014. I googled it immediately and I realized I just go 3/4 oz of gold. I was floored. Took to coin shop and confirmed, it is real. Finished the other rolls and popped a few 54's to go with my 64s . Was a great day. Now, where to sell it and get a decent peice for it. Having same problem with my silver. 90% last I sold was 12 times face and 2 dollars for 40%ers. I think I will stack more until silver hits 21 dollars and unload all.

Great finds ... I think. Difficult to tell from your post exactly what you found ... it appears you say there was a gold Kennedy half dollar ... really? A few photos would be helpful indeed. David

The gold coin is a 2014 gold coin.with 1964-2014 under jfk. Amd reverse says 3/4 .9999 gold. Atm I have in my safe deposit box. Though I'm trying to upload pic and not sure if will post.
Along with the gold coin I got a good amount of 1964 905 solver and some 1954's with Franklin. And 65-68 40% Was a really good hunt.

I assume only 2 possibilities as to why the gold was in the roll. 1. Someone inherited and didn't know a thing as there were silver with it in the roll. Or 2, was stolen and the thief didn't have a clue and ended in the roll. I will never know in either case. So I'll just be happy I got for 50 cents.

With all due respect to you Sir and the valued CCF members ... I am going to call your bluff and insist on a photograph ... from you ... of the alleged gold coin as you described. To be quite honest ... I'm hopeful that your tale is true ... as it would inspire many of our long term members to continue searching ... in hopes of a similar find. It will take a few photos from you ... and then we all salute a fabulous CRH find indeed. Soooo ... pull that supposed gold coin out of your safe deposit box ... as you claim it is stored .... and show it in this thread. Otherwise ... I and the other honest CCF members say goodnight to you fantasy post ... made up without anything real to show. Truly hoping you prove me wrong! David

I have pic as said and tried to post. It allows me to choose file and shows said file but not post pic?
I became a member because I wanted to share my find and educate myself on what I lack and see others. I not think I'd get such disrespect and calling my story a fairytale.
I'm not interested in defending myself and I really don't care if you believe or not. I will try to get pic posted for others to see, not your bs

If you've looked around on this site then you know... Since the gold didn't have a dollar amount on it, I will assume it was a bullion round. True?
