Found this picking in a junk bin! It is worn, I am getting the grade from the grading forum right now. But in XF it is a $350 coin. I was thinking VF. I am so excited!! The only notch remaining is in the E, but IGWT shows some nice spread. To show that it is this die I made a side by side with another 42-D to show how thick it is. Top is Variety. Bottom is the regular coin!!

I would grade that a lot lower. VG would still show the rims. This coin has the devices and rim affected. So to me it would be a 'G'.

I am not knowledgable on the variety Dustin ... and hopeful that you are correct.

The coin is at best G06 in grade ... IMHO ... the lack of full rims with the legends merging into the rims is the best indicator.

That's the one! I have one also, in about the same condition as yours. The extra serif on the E and the major extra thickness on TR of Trust is the dead giveaway on this one. I was told by a local coin dealer that it would only be worth about $20-$25 in this condition, but who knows.

Sorry I don't have a full image of it, just these close-ups. I think yours is in a little better shape than mine.

Thanks David!! Really appreciate the opinion, I go off the ANA grading standards book.Kind of odd, The rims are merging, but the devices like the bust and the eagle have like F details. I wonder what could've caused this uneven wear

Nice DDO pickup

It is strange, that the rims are worn down more than the
rest of the coin. And the rims are a big grading point
for coins in the "GOOD" grade range.

With those rimes the safest grade I could say would be G 6.

It would be interesting to see what ... ANACS would say

Unsure of variety, but certainly would not grade this above G-6 tops.
