Very interesting. They could be 17th century Irish tradesman tokens. I'm trying to find these exact designs.

Well David I can't find either design online and I don't have the right books. I suggest looking here for more clues:

Not Irish, English.

The top one - with the clearly legible "IN PYRTON", comes from the town of Pyrton, Oxfordshire. Issued by a fellow named John Farmer (or Farmar) in 1656.

The bottom one is too badly corroded for me to make out, other than it was issued by a gentleman surnamed "Cooke". I'm not familiar enough with the series to narrow it down further.
