This quarter looks fairly normal on one side and copper on the other. It's in fairly rough shape, but I would still like to know why and what happened to it. Thoughts?

It might have the reverse clad missing , is there any way to get a pic of the rim?

Here is one that I found , Its a bicentennial. not sure of the worth at all however.

and to the forum. And the bicentennial has something on the surface for sure may be paint you can see the original surface exposing itself

Interesting coins ..

My opinion is that both coins left the mint as normal coins ..

Looks like a Cud on the Bicentennial coin ? Below 1776. You can see it on the reverse as well at "United"
