When my mom sold my grandpa's house many years ago, she mostly just boxed up everything she didn't know what to do with and stuck it in her crawl space. Now that she's moved to assisted living, that stuff, plus hers, has come to my house. I just hit the bottom of one box and found several tokens, a few very old, very worn pennies, and this beauty. Have fun grading it!

The detail level is approximately G4 to G6. I wonder what happened to bend it so. I have a "plugged" Jefferson, and the bullet left a hole with metal pushed up and outward on either side of the hole. Of course, it was shot with a .30-30 rifle...

It's a conversation piece for sure, even if the numismatic value is non-existent.

I bet there was quite a story behind that coin. I almost don't have the heart to cull it.
