hi gang...

ok, so I just bought and received an AMAZING 2015 incuse 1 oz gold angel, which is the last to complete my 1 oz angels, of any sort, type or metal. happy day!

ok, the coin was slabbed (why do I hate that word so much?) and graded by NGC. no problem. frequently, the graded coins sold do not include the original coa, for whatever reasons...

ok. but this coin I received, to my gratitude, the coa, which says the coin is # 190 out of 500. cool. but here is the part of the coa which has me scratching my head...

the coa is accurate, listing the particulars of the coin... the year, that it is gold, its size, purity, diameter, weight and issue limit(500).

all good, right? well, I am sure that it it is, but this is what I read on the next page... that the coin was made out of PALLADIUM.

huh?

ok, we know we all want pictures, so here is the original ebay listing...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Limited-edi...p=true&rt=nc

and here is an image of the coa, which says under the "specifications" page says the coin is gold, but under the "proof quality", on the next page, says that the coin is palladium.

This-COA-For-A-Coin-Is...-Well,-Contradicts-Itself.--What-Do-You-Think?

any thoughts, opinions would be appreciated. it is kind of hard for me to think that pobjoy mint could make such an obvious error.

summary: why would the coa from pobjoy list the coin as both gold and palladium?

thanks all... mike

or is it just typo?

i believe it is a typo, someone probably copied and pasted it, without updating the info.

I don't find it hard to believe that an error was made. Any organization can make mistakes. Admittedly it is kind of funny, though.
Rest in Peace

I'm only surprised that you were the first one to spot this.

Most NGC coins are sans COA so I wouldn't be too worried, as long as your number is right in their inventory.

I, for one, would like to see a photo of the coin.

thanks to all for the input, yes, the coin matches up on the NGC numbers verification, so all is ok, it was just curious to me...

nss-52, the link to the coin is in my initial message.

again... thanks, mike
