I found this quarter today that had a mark close to the previously posted nickel. Is the damage from the same thing ? Most likely not,But it was close enough to post again with new evidence. Then I thought I had a machine double Kennedy, and looking at the pics I would say it points to that direction, But after taking the pictures I noticed a phantom "Y" on the coin.I took a toothpick and tried rubbing it off and it stayed. So what's your thoughts? As always any and all advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking and have a good one!

Is the line incuse or raised? Raised it maybe a die issue. If incuse it might be coin damage. It just doesn't show us what we need to see in the images provided. sorry

It appears to be very slightly raised. How about the lettering? I'll take better pictures later. We are cooking our Thanksgiving dinner right now. But thanks for looking.

If it is raised, then it is a die issue. A die scratch or gouge. Not a premium for this, but identifying the issue is more interesting.
