New purchase off of ebay. I'm worried the scratch on the obverse rim at 3:00 might make this a details grade, but otherwise the surfaces looked nice and I only had 1 minute to decide...so I went for it. These are seller photos

Looks like it may have been in a mount of some sort. There are marks on the edge on the front that line up closely with the reverse. 2nd and 12th star and between the "IT" of "UNITED" and just under the last "A" of "AMERICA". Marks look minor to me and this coin looks original. Think it's probably a details grade of VF-35 and pushing XF. I like it as a type coin.

35 details. Buy in haste; regret at leisure.

Agree with VF-35, probably details, but still attractive.

The light area on the reverse above the eagle looks like a pencil eraser was used on it but otherwise she looks pretty good. That little 3:00 rim cut isn't too bad IMO. Detail looks VF+.

P.S. I looked up the auction and think the $90 price is a fair deal for you and the seller. $90 sounds like current market value for that piece with some minor issues.

Are you thinking of sending it in for grading?

Good eye appeal coin .. perfect for a circulated album coin.

Looks VF ... better chance of being a details grade than not.

Was not considering getting it graded; that's just not worth the cost.

Anyway, hopefully the scratches aren't too distracting in person. Thanks for the opinions all.

VF-35 details, shame about the scratch on an otherwise attractive coin.
