Hey folks,

Any comments on this note. The Prefix is a misprint.
Value, condition etc.

Many Thanks.

Not a Note expert but someone will comment,i know Acetone and the like have been used to disfigure Notes so they can be sold on ebay or FB as errors so I'm always suspicious.

Really Basil. Do you really think that's the case here?
I'll find a note with a K and put it side by side.

No,i don't have an opinion one way or the other,i just stay out speculation on error's on Notes & Coins.
I spent several years on various Stamp Forums(& Message Boards) in the early days of the Internet, late 1990's,and what the forgers were able to do with Stamps was simply amazing,no reason for them not to try with Notes.
There are some serious Note collectors lurking on this Forum,I'm surprised no one has commented on your post.

OK Thanks Basil.
I have been made an offer from an Aussie that looks like he knows what's what.

Nice note.
I know that there were a few of the paper notes with mismatched prefixes but I have never seen it with a polymer note.

I would expect that it would be worth several hundred dollars, if not more.

Ok,not many takers so i'll mention the Elephant, the lower B looks like an 8 and appears to have been tampered with, happy to be proven wrong however.

That's similar to what I thought at first, but then I had a look at some of my notes & realized that a different font is used on the lower serial number and that's why the bottom B looks like an 8.

If you've got any $10's with a B in the serial number you'll be able to see what I mean.

Can't explain why the A has morphed into a K though. Genuine error?

I used to collect First/Last serials, RADAR's repeaters etc, but not for the last 6 yrs or so.

Agree with MobOfRoos - this class of error is much more common with paper notes and I don't recall seeing it in polymer.
