If you are talking about the little blue spot on the tip of the last feather, that looks like some kind of chemical trace. Or are you talking about that little area directly above the lowest feather? beaglebailey Pillar of the Community United States 716 Posts	Posted 12/09/2016 2:03 pm The die chip on the 8th feather is very common on 1899 IHC. There are at least 3 Snow varieties (S4,S5,S31) that have that die chip as a confirming indicator. All 3 varieties are either RPD's or MPD's. Most are pretty minor but I don't see any on this coin.
