I pulled this while searching with a 5x magnifier as what looked like a good example of Die Deterioration Doubling. Even in these close images the deterioration is unmistakable. What I did not expect is what looks like Machine Doubling and Tripling along with the deterioration. Still an interesting example.

I feel the waves you see are all part of the same Die Deterioration issue. Note they are all the same distance from the center of the coin on the affected area. Even the incuse devices on the outside edge ring are show heavy die flow from the same Die Deterioration. All caused by an aging die.

Darned nice example of Die Deterioration. That's one I'd keep as an example of same.

Twenty five cents. There is also Machine Doubling as seen on the outside devices. this is also common. The incuse devices that are showing MD happen about 70% of the time in a minor or major way. The DDO's for these are located in the centers of the coin.
