I won two auctions on ebay last week while being the only bid. I won two BU coins with doubled dies.

1962 5¢ DDO-002/DDR-007,WDDO-023/WDDR-065 "Best Of"
1968-S 1¢ DDO-001

The nickel was $5.59 while the penny was $8.50

I saw on WDDR-065 (5¢) it was cross referenced with DDR-007, so I went to the CONECA master listing http://www.varietyvista.com/Variety...%201962.htm) and saw DDR-007 is paired with DDO-002. I think it's safe to presume WDD0-023=DDO-002 and WDDR-065=DDR-007.

Nice!

The 1968-S isn't DDO-001, it is DDO-002 on CopperCoins website. It was actually a working hub that was doubled, making more than one die show doubling.
It is know as 1968-S 1¢ WWHO-001 on Wexler's site: http://doubleddie.com/814681.html
The reverse die markers will vary, depending on which reverse die it was matched with.

CWB:

I meant it's DDO-001 on varietyvista.com (CONECA). I think only Wexler recognizes it as a doubled working hub, I might be wrong, but if it is it doesn't seem like there were many dies produced with that working hub. So even if it is a doubled working hub, it is still pretty uncommon.

Nice pick-ups! Did you cherry-pick them, or were they listed as double die in the auctions?

It is always nice to check to see other attributions. It rounds up knowledge so we can learn more. Posting links to the sites you are looking at also helps, because someone can learn or share what information they've read in the past.

Dave H:

They were listed as doubled dies, and I was surprised no one else bid on them.

Coop:

I meant to put the links to the sites with the pictures, but I forgot. I'll fix that now.

I always thought there was an issue with the master hub on this year. They were too easy to find and had different mint mark locations. I mentioned that to Bob Piazza, the he hadn't considered that yet. (it was news to him) Now I read that John had noticed that.
