The sellers that have the coins I'm looking for at a reasonable price.

Mike , I believe that's a loaded question . that's like a treasure hunter telling you the GPS numbers of his recent booty find .

I look at the coin first and seller second. If it's a seller I'm not familiar with, I check feedback, comments received and left, what they have sold recently, and what else they are selling now.
There are some sellers I immediately run away from regardless of the coins I like (GS and centsless).
I look for the coins, not the seller.

None of them. With the fees that ebay now charges it is hard for a legitimate dealer to do business there. If I can figure out who they are, I'll contact them and work on a private negociation.

I almost never do business with the same seller twice as I usually buy a coin when an opportunity presents itself, not when a certain seller lists it. Those I do repeat business with sell ancient Chinese coins, and are therefore not of your interest.

A seller with nice coins but without a huge following that drives the price up to or past retail pricing. Kind of a moving target. If you do not get many direct replies - it is because it is a bit like asking a rock collector where they find their hidden treasures...
I collect xf/au/bu Lincoln Wheat Cents & my favorites include fittedshirt2002, little_pine_tree, alpimon, rohrbacher6cqu & southparkcoins.
Good luck...

I like to establish relationships with dealers and go back to those who have treated my fairly. They get to know what I like and sometimes give me a shot at something before they offer it elsewhere. I only take the "hit and run" approach with the sharpies who are often out to get you. I don't do that very often, but it's worked on rare occasions.

I always look up the user name on Google and see if they have a website. I know ebay fees are at least 6% and may be as high as 11.8%, so I'll start at 10% off the listed price and see what they will do if I deal with them directly.

Don't have a favorite, but I research seller and if I like what I see from listing and seller research, I try to bundle multiple listings at a decent discount. Works most of the time.

I usually don't have a favorite seller as I evaluate the coin and the condition. I must say that the exception to this is cudabob496 on ebay. Ive bought many coins from him and he is the best ever!!

With the anonymity of the Internet, a good relationship is much harder to forge.
