Gday all, so I found this 1984-D while going though rolls and to me it looks like doubled die. The 9 almost looks like its been hit 3 times?
Thank you

Can you post a picture of the whole coin or at least showing whole words or date?
Rest in Peace

Yes, whole obverse and reverse shots would be helpful.

Business strike coins are only struck once. The images are too close to tell what is going on for me. You need 3-5 images per shot. (Motto devices broke down to 'GOD' or 'TRUST' will give us a better picture of what is going on) The wider shot will tell me if the devices are reduced or enlarged. It will also show if it is a pattern direction (hub doubling) or a reduced size of the device. (Machine damaged after the strike) Machine damage will vary from device to device. Hub doubling will show a consistent spread.

The date looks interesting, but like Coop said, we need to see more.

The doubling on LIBERTY looks like MD to me.

It could be a doubled die with Mechanical Doubling as well. That happens sometimes.

Waiting for more images....
