I been going through some of the coins I had put away. I dont remember if I ever posted this one or not ...Well just in case .here it is .Just wondering what could caused this .

Maybe a punch; seems to have common striations.

@monika, I agree with rackster that someone used a punch on his eyes after this coin was placed in circulation. Maybe this person used the punch a third time between Liberty and 2005?

To me it looks like something has been added to your coin after the strike.

Spence ,yes there is a 3rd punch right on the mint mark

And they are all the same shape. PSD. You can see on some of the reverse devices, that they are flattened a bit.
